Benefit Complementary Makeup Lesson!

Hey everyone!
So if you follow me or Laura on Instagram then you would know that on monday we had a free complementary makeup lesson at Benefit. We both purchased 'Porefessional' last wednesday and were told we qualified for this opportunity and jumped at it.
Quick selfie after our makeup lesson! Laura, Priscilla, Me (eyes closed as usual)

So during our morning uni break on monday we headed into Pitt Street Mall and were welcomed by Priscilla (who you should all go and follow on Instagram!) She then taught us the basics of a perfect complexion and about highlighting and contouring, which I was the WORST at!

These are all the products that Priscilla used on me during the lesson. I also loved this experience as it gave me the opportunity to try out some products during the whole day to see what best suited me and my skin.

The first product used was the Triple Performing Facial Emulsion, just a full face moisturiser used as a pre-primer base, and to ensure the makeup didn't dry my skin out. Then for a primer, I was able to try out something other then professional which I loved seeing as I have it at home and I'm able to use it whenever I want, so I tried the Dr Feel Good Primer, which comes in balm form. I found that it worked well and kept my makeup on for the whole day, however I won't be rushing out to buy it as I prefer the tube form! Obviously, for foundation we used Hello Flawless in Champagne, which isn't the right foundation for my skin but I still loved trying it! By the end of the day it had pretty much worn off, even though I didn't look oily, it was more of a tinted moisturiser like coverage for me.  To cover my ridiculous dark circles, Priscilla used Fakeup, in god knows what shade, but I loved this product, moisturing and good coverage! Then obviously to set, a touch of Hello Flawless powder around the t-zone and blended out to the rest of the face! A little tip we were taught was that you can use eye primer even when you aren't wearing eyeshadow just to cover unevenness on the eyelid.. yep, me.. My eyes like brown, all the time :( Now my favourite part of the lesson, how to contour, using Hoola, being able to feel someone contouring your face while watching in a mirror makes it so much easier to contour when you get home! To set it all, Priscilla used Ultra Radiance Facial re-Hydrating Mist, which I honestly think helped to keep my makeup on all day, and it worked. It also make my face feel hydrated all day long.

The whole experience was so worthwhile and amazing and it was really interesting to have someone talk me through as they were doing my makeup. I am also really interested in purchasing some of these products in the future now that I know that they work on me!

Have you tried any of these products or had one of these complementary makeup lessons?

Natio Skincare Review!

About 2 weeks ago I posted a photo onto Instagram of some new Natio skincare that I purchased and the free gift I received with it. As soon as I purchased it, I wanted to do a review, but I knew I had to wait until I had used it for a while to see how it worked with my skin and if it was right, so, the wait is over, I am happy to announce that I love the products.
Below are the product I purchased, and this review does not include anything about the free gift, only the skincare within the Natio range 'Acne'

These photos were taken from the Natio website, I do not take any credit to them or claim that they are mine in any way.
So the three products within the range 'Acne' that i purchased were the Dual Action Cleanser and Toner, Detoxifying Face Scrub with Jojoba beads and the Daily Repair Oil Free Moisturiser. I never had major acne problems as I stated in my last post, however I did get a few large blemishes and a few spots which sat under the skin causing an uneven surface. I also experienced a fair bit of redness around my nose and cheek area, which these products have also helped to remove.
Obviously I use these three products in conjunction with each other for the best results, and I have been pleasantly surprised with how well they have worked. I use the scrub about 3 times a week and the wash once a day, using a dove face wash in the morning as my face is mostly clean from the night before, and obviously the moisturiser once a day because I use a night cream.
Together, these products have significantly reduced the appearance of my blemishes and have also stopped new blemishes forming, apart from the odd one here and there, and lets face it, who NEVER gets a pimple? No one.. yeah thats what I thought..(if you can answer 'I don't' to this question, please don't leave me a comment or ill cry.. just a warning!)
I also find that the light scrub has reduced redness and pigmentation around my cheek and nose area. The moisturiser also does exactly what it says it will, and successfully controls oil on my face throughout the day.

All three products together only cost around $40, which for a skin care that actually works isn't expensive, and Myer currently have a promotion where you get a free makeup bag and products valued at $61 when you spend over $38, while stocks last, which makes it all the more enticing to purchase these products.
If you have any problems with oil control or Acne I would definitely recommend you try these products! There is a few other products that are also available within this range!
Have you tried any Natio products? What was your experience like?
Thanks for reading beauties! Xx

My Favourites #1

Hi everyone!
I though I would start a favourites series, usually posting monthly, but for a little while posting weekly with favourites in certain areas.
This week is Skincare! These are all products I use on a daily-weekly basis, however it doesn't include products such as makeup remover which I do include as skincare but thought I would do a separate post on!

(From left to right)
Dove deep pure face cleanser: This cleanser says something on the back about micro beads that reduce pores or something, which I have not experienced and I have been using it for about two weeks. However, I still LOVE it. A tiny bit goes a really long way, like a pea covers my entire face & neck. It also leaves that squeaky clean sort of feel which I really love seeing as my face can be quite oily. It is also great with the face scrub as those beads can be really small and hard to get off!
Daiso Charcoal face wash: This face was is like a super squeaky clean face wash.. Once again love it, however I try to use it only once or twice a week because I think any more then that would really dry out my skin! Definitely wouldn't suggest it to anyone who has dry skin, only oily!
St Ives green tea face scrub: This is one of the best scrubs Iv ever used. It gets right down into my pores and removes a lot of dry skin and even build up like makeup! Because of its super fine beads, I try to only use it when I wash my hair so I can make sure its all off my skin cause I find it can also get stuck in the little bits of hair around my face sometimes which is really annoying, but still a great scrub overall!
Simple moisturiser: I only use this moisturiser at night or on days when I'm not going out or wearing makeup as it is so moisturising that it leave my skin looking shiny and oily which isn't really a look I love, I can achieve it naturally! However its great because it really penetrates the skin and leaves my skin looking and feeling fresh!
Derma Moisturiser: I find this to be a thicker moisturiser that doesn't leave me looking oily because it blends into the skin really well, and creates a really great base for primers such as the NYX pore filler! It was just a cheap moisturiser I picked up once because I wanted to stop using simple for a little while and I fell in love, now using it daily!
Aesop Control: This is a lifesaver when it comes to blemishes! I put a little bit on before I go to bed and in the morning it is literally gone! They had a drying one before this which I preferred however I still love this one and I find that it works just as well as the last one, maybe even better because it doesn't dry out my skin!
All products were purchased with my own money. I am not affiliated with any of these brands and all of these reviews are my own opinion.

What are your favourite skincare products at the moment?
Are there any which you think I should try out?
Leave me a comment will any suggestions below! :)

HAUL!

My first haul post! This is pretty much a collective haul from 2014 so far.. I got a lot for christmas so I haven't really purchased much lately, but i still had a few things, especially after Priceline's 40% off! (Who else can't wait until 40% off skincare?!)

PRICELINE HAUL!

Essie Nail Colour in Forever Yummy
RRP: $16.95
I paid: $10.17
I saved $6.78
I love this colour, and Essie nail polishes glide on so easily and last for ages without chipping so I happily handed over my money to the cashier for this one!

Essie Care Millionails Treatment
RRP: $17.95
I paid: $10.77
I saved: $7.18
I currently have this treatment on my nails and i already love it. Im pretty sure my nails are already stronger which is good because they are usually very weak making them hard to grow and groom other then a paint job! Hopefully this will strengthen them so I can actually file them into a shape and paint them nicely!

Rimmel 'I love fruities' in Apricot Punch
RRP: $5.98
I paid: $3.47
I saved:$2.38
Another colour which I just loved and had to have. I love having bright coloured nails during winter so I always stock up at the end of summer and i really didn't have a colour anything like this in my collection.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Spray
RRP: $11.99
Unfortunately not on sale but mine was empty so I had to buy another one. Its a product I use religiously now so I'll be stocking up next sale!

Essence 2in1 Profi File
RRP: $1.47
I paid: $0.88
I saved:$0.59
I didn't have a nail file and figured seeing as I want to start growing my nails I should get one so i can shape them, especially seeing as i have three nails that grow squareish then two nails that grow round... I don't even know why or how!

Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara
RRP: $3.50
I paid: $2.10
I saved: $1.40
This is just a favourite of mine, I use it to set my eyebrows everyday so I figured Id just pick up an extra even though it was really necessary.

Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss
RRP: $2.59
I paid: $1.77
I saved:$1.17
I only have one thing to say about this lipgloss. Go buy it. Its not sticky on the lips, it actually feels moisturising, it lasts for ages. its amazing.

Australis Velour-Lips in Par-ee
RRP: $9.95
I paid: $5.97
I saved: $3.98
I have wanted this for ages, and unfortunately the Priceline I went to was all sold out of NY-CEE, but after using this once, I may go back and get it full priced its that good. I love this colour, I have very pigmented lips naturally and this just completely covers it and leaves them will a beautiful colour. Definitely recommend!

MAC HAUL!

Tiny MAC haul because its so expensive but very worthwhile. I walked in to get a new brush cleaner, left with a concealer and blush too.. uh oh.

MAC Brush Cleanser
RRP: $20.00
I use this every second day as a spot cleaner, I got this back up a while ago but I'm still going through my first which has lasted for about a year with half of it being spilt at the very beginning. I recommend it to all my friends, so easy to use and long lasting which I love.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15
RRP: $ 32.00
I gave into temptation.. Jacyln Hill kept using it and i wanted it even more and here we are... I got it in a shade lighter for highlighting more then concealing, and in NW instead of NC for under eye covering. Fantastic texture, long lasting, doesn't crease, perfect.

MAC Powder Blush in Peaches
RRP: $41.00
I was looking at a new blush, the shop assistant reccomended this one, I fell in love. Amazing texture, build able colour, iv had it for about a month, using it non stop and i haven't made a dint.

HAIRDRESSER HAUL

CPR Frizzy Control
RRP: $22.50
I have used this product before and it stops my unruly hair from frizzing all over the place so my lovely hairdresser convinced my to buy it again which I'm very happy about!

All products were purchased with my own money. I am not affiliated with any of these brands and all of these reviews are my own opinion.

Have you had any recent hauls? Or did you splurge a bit at the Priceline sale?
